Setting up a store on Facebook is one of the most popular things people do on the site. It allows you to sell products and services directly to your Facebook friends and generate traffic to your website or blog. In this article, we'll show you how to set up your store, step by step.

Why you Should Setup a Store on Facebook

There are many reasons why you should set up a store on Facebook. Here are just a few:

  1. Facebook is the world’s largest social media network, with nearly 3 billion monthly active users (MAUs). This means that your store has a lot of potential to reach a large audience.
  2. Facebook is a great way to build relationships with your customers. You can connect with them and learn about their needs and interests, which will help you create better products and services.
  3. Facebook stores are easy to manage. You can add new products, change the layout of your store, and promote your store through Facebook ads. If you need any tips on paid social with Facebook, check out this article.
  4. Your Facebook store can be an extension of your website. You can integrate your Facebook store with your website so that customers can buy items from your website and then have them delivered to their Facebook page. This is a great way to increase traffic to your website and build customer loyalty.

Everything you Need to Setup a Store on Facebook

Setting up a Facebook store is easy and can be done in just a few minutes. Once you have created your store, you will need to add products and start selling. But there are a few things to consider and prepare before you can setup your store, most importantly you will need:

If you have all of the above in most cases you will already be able to complete the process, but if you want to be 100% sure you will be able to proceed. I suggest you keep other information close-by, this should include:

  • Your business information - Tax numbers, Address, etc.
  • A valid bank account.

If you have got everything, you can proceed to the next section where I will show you how to setup a store on Facebook.

How to Setup a Store on Facebook

If you're looking to start selling products on Facebook, there's a few things you'll need to do first.

First, you will need to create a store page. You can do this by going to your Facebook page and clicking on the "Page" button in the top right corner. From here, you'll be able to create a new store page or select an existing page.

Next, if you cannot find the Shop button you may first need to go to Templates and Tabs as shown in the picture above and then navigate to "Add a tab

Add Facebook Shop

Once you've created your store page, you'll need to set up some basic settings.

Start by choosing a name for your store. This will be the name that people will see when they visit your store and search for products, then choose a location for your store.

Finally, you'll need to set up your product pages. You can create as many product pages as you want, and each page can have its own unique layout and design. Once you've set up your store details, it's time to start selling products!

You can sell products from your store in two ways: through the "Shop" button on your store page or using the  "Product" tab in Facebook ads Manager. Both methods work pretty much the same way, so it's just a matter of finding a way that works for you.

Seizing the opportunity of being featured in Facebook is an impressive way to sell your product and reach a large audience. You can either create one through Facebook Shops or use the Shop tab on your Facebook page, and get the opportunity to:

  • Sell directly to people on Facebook without them ever leaving your website.
  • Utilize the engagement features on the platform to help increase the awareness of your store.
  • Run new types of ads like Catalog Ads and Instant Experience Ads.
