If you're looking to get more reviews for your Shopify store, there are a few apps out there that can help. In this article, we'll outline 10 Best Shopify Apps for Reviews and help you pick out which one suits you!

1. Product Reviews - by Shopify - 3.4/5 (1623 Reviews)

⭐⭐⭐ 3.4 out of 5 based on 1623 Reviews

This app by Shopify allows you to add a review feature for your products, which brings a way for your customers to engage with each other, encouraging sales. It is worth noting that this is the official App provided by Shopify.

The advantages are pretty straightforward:

✅ It is Free.

✅ It is easy to customize.

The disadvantages are obvious:

❌ Only has basic features.

❌ Unable to add photo or video reviews.

❌ There is no way to automate review requests.

We put it first on this list as it is the official review app by Shopify, and it comes for free. It does not fulfill many of the criteria that we would wish to see in product reviews, so if you are a more sophisticated store, I suggest looking for alternatives from this list.

2. Judge.me - 5/5 (10297 Reviews)

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 out of 5 based on 10297 Reviews

If you're looking for a way to get honest feedback on your Shopify store, Judge.me is a great app to consider. It is by far the best rated app on the store, and it is super popular.

The app is free to use and has a wide range of features. You can use it to rate products, to find new products to sell, and get feedback on your sales efforts.

The advantages are on point:

✅ It has a free option.

✅ It is easy to customize the review requests in the premium plan.

✅ It comes with unlimited review requests.

The disadvantages become apparent:

❌ Free plan contains Judge.me branding.

❌ Coupons can only be used with a paid plan.

Judge.me is the gold standard of Shopify Apps for Reviews. It is incredibly popular and a great option for starters looking for a good solution with a free plan, as well as for stores that are sending out a ton of review requests.

3. Loox - 4.9/5 (9218 Reviews)

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.9 out of 5 based on 9218 Reviews

Loox is an amazing option for those brands that are looking for a ton of cool features without a high price tag. Loox focuses on collecting customer reviews with photos to strengthen the social proof of your store.

It is a popular App, and pricing starts at $9.99/month. It does come with many useful but gated features, and it does not offer any free plan.

The advantages are obvious:

✅ Provides discount incentives to customers if they leave a photo review.

✅ Reviews can be shown in a variety of ways, including in galleries and carousels.

✅ Allows you to configure automatic review request emails.

The disadvantages are quite plenty:

❌ Lack of a free plan.

❌ Video reviews are only available on higher plans.

❌ You need to upgrade to the Pro plan to be able to fully customize the reviews look and feel.

Loox is a good contender, and it offers some of the best features if you are willing to pay for it.

4. Yotpo - 4.9/5 (5245 Reviews)

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.9 out of 5 based on 5245 Reviews

Looking to get honest feedback from your customers? Yotpo is a great option for a Shopify Review app. With Yotpo, you can create custom review buttons for your products and ask your customers to leave a review. This way, you can get unbiased feedback that you can use to improve your product or store experience.

The advantages are cool:

✅ Powerful tool to break down your customer feedback into one table.

✅ You can highlight the most important aspects of each product review.

The disadvantages are in the experience:

❌ High price, especially for starters.

❌ The App is difficult to use and hard to customize.

Yotpo is incredibly cool and useful but set itself apart using a steep pricing model. This makes it less accessible for smaller stores and more of an enterprise solution.

5. Stamped.io - 4.7/5 (5836 Reviews)

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.7 out of 5 based on 5836 Reviews

Stamped.io does a great job at being good for everyone. It is in one solution making it among the best Shopify Apps for Reviews. It excels allowing you to capture and showcase customer reviews of high quality.

The advantages are tailored for reviews:

✅ It gives you the option to offer incentives for both photos and videos.

✅ It comes with a decent free plan.

✅ You can use SMS messaging to request reviews.

The disadvantages are mostly due to pricing.

❌ Video reviews are gated behind the most expensive plan (at $99/month).

❌ Short free trial (just 3 days).

6. Fera - 4.9/5 (4466)

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.7 out of 5 based on 5836 Reviews

Fera is a strong contender among Shopify Apps for Reviews. It has a lot of good ratings and a ton of reviews to back it up.  It is free to use and includes a wide range of features.

Your customers can add photos, descriptions, and ratings to each product review. Fera also keeps track of your reviews so you can see which products are receiving the most positive feedback.

The advantages give you the power you want.

✅ Ability to customize everything you want.

✅ Has a wide range of themes to display your reviews.

✅ Integrates with Search and Shopping campaigns.

The disadvantages are due to the review limits.

❌ The Free plan only allows up to 10 review requests per month.

❌ Even at $99 per month, you can only send up to 10,000 review requests.

Fera is a great option for medium to large stores selling fewer than 10k products per month. Which honestly is probably most ecommerce stores out there. But, the $29 plan is limited to 1000 review requests, often forcing you to upgrade faster than you would like.

7. Okendo - 4.9/5 (571)

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.9 out of 5 based on 571 Reviews

Okendo is the new kid on the block of Shopify Apps for Reviews. It is up and coming, so the total number of reviews it has amassed is still a bit behind the other players on this list.

It presents itself as an option that can use a customizable widget to display UGC. Read my article for more on User Generated Content.

The advantages give you the power you want.

✅ Ability to generate individual product reviews.

✅ You can customize your product review display widget from 15.

The disadvantages are due to the review limits.

❌ There is no Free plan.

❌ Incredibly expensive plans that are tied to orders

The App boasts a good rating, and the team knows what they are doing. But I firmly believe there are better-priced Shopify Apps for Reviews available.

8. A2Reviews - 4.9 (48)

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.9 out of 5 based on 48 Reviews

I love checking out smaller players on the market. A2Reviews is the least reviewed of all the Shopify Apps for Reviews on this list, but that does not mean that it is not useful.

This App sets itself apart through the sheer ease with which you can export your review from Amazon or Aliexpress and integrate them into your site. The whole process should take you no more than a couple of clicks.

The advantages are tied to the ease of use.

✅ It boosts an incredibly intuitive review system that is just super easy to use.

✅ You have the option of blocking negative reviews - but I recommend you do not.

The disadvantages are due to product limits.

❌ There is no Free plan.

❌ Pricing is tied to product limits.

This is an up and coming Review App for Shopify. It is quite good, excellent even for small stores. I do recommend shortlisting it if you are just getting started.

9. Reviews.io

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.9 out of 5 based on 324 Reviews

Reviews.io is a great app for Shopify merchants who want to get honest feedback on their products. It boasts itself as having "lightning fast product review widgets". Does this make it the best of all the Shopify Apps for Reviews? Not necessarily.

The advantages are due to some of its abilities.

✅ Integrated your product ratings and site reviews into your Google shopping feed.

✅ Easily import reviews from other platforms.

The disadvantages are due to its "lightning-fast widgets".

❌ Lack of incentives to request reviews.

❌ The widgets are slow to load, detrimental to your user experience.

Reviews.io does not do the trick for me. It has expensive plans, and can only serve up to 500 monthly active orders.

10. Rivyo - 4.9/5 (1818 Reviews)

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.9 out of 5 based on 1818 Reviews

Closing out our list of Shopify Apps for Reviews is Rivyo. Now, this is a good review tool with a fair pricing model, and it sports a lot more than just the basics.

The advantages are due to some of its abilities.

✅Automatically pulls frequently asked questions

✅ Has an amazing feature that showcases your reviews as customer testimonials.

The disadvantages are due to its technology.

❌ Quite buggy.

This is the recommended solution for small and medium stores on Shopify that need a robust Reviews App. It is not expensive, with the most expensive plan coming in at $15,99/month, making this one of my top choices!

Which of These Shopify Apps for Reviews Should You Use?

From this list, I can comfortably recommend that you either go for Rivyo or for Judge.me. Rivyo is the better option when you are a small to medium stores but Judge.me is there for you when you scale up.

I do highly recommend you stay away from the more expensive review tools, and do not use the official Shopify review tool either.
